The goal with the Rest routine is to have a good flow during your day. When you are doing the rest routine, you are taking a time out. Without timeouts most people are starting fresh in the morning, but they get an energy drop later in the day. You are not having a flow through your day. With your rest routine you have short breaks to nourish your mind and body. It can be eating lunch peacefully, or doing meditation, going for a walk in the park, listening to some peaceful music, reading a book, lay on the couch not doing anything, being in nature. Your rest routine can be 5min or 20min, but it`s function is to turn down the tempo and keep you in a good flow throughout your day. So you won`t be like a racket going straight up, and then straight down again. We want to feel ease going through our days. So how can you nourish yourself during the daytime? It’s about being able to rest in the transitions between different activities and to slow down when it`s possible in a hectic daily life. I wish you a nourishing timeout. ● Listen to peaceful music on your way to work.
● Walk in silence and just being present and aware of what you see and experience. To hear your breath, feel the ground and
● Buy or make yourself a cup of coffee or tea and enjoy it in silence by yourself.
● Light candles at home and have nice background music on.
● Lay on the couch before dinner and just close your eyes and relax for 5 minutes.
